Misterton, a mixed, developing community of approximately 2,000 people, is located in north-east Nottinghamshire, with the nearest large town being Doncaster, some 12 miles to the north-west. The village has a special water environment, being bordered by two rivers - the Idle and the Trent, with the historic Chesterfield Canal running through the village.
