Disclaimer - Please Read
Please be aware that although the Council is a Statutory Building Control Body it is not obliged to make the information on its Registers publicly available and therefore very limited details are shown in these datasets.
Users of this data must note that although we make every effort to ensure accuracy of the data, the building control information contained within this site may not be complete and must not be used for carrying out a formal Land Charges Search (including Personal Searches). It cannot be relied upon to constitute a full Building Control history. Where a property has been constructed as part of a development site, it will at that stage not have its own address and will be recorded as a plot or unit in the Building Control system. The Official Address is only assigned to a property when that property has been built and is deemed to be postally addressable. Only records from 1st January 1995 are extracted. Not all records listed may have complete information, for example those that relate to Initial Notices or any Competent Person Scheme. Records listed under the Competent Persons Schemes are notifications only, and Building Control do not have access to any certificate of installation or completion. Similarly, Building Control do not issue Completion Certificates for works carried out by an Approved Inspector (Initial Notices) but do record under the “Completed” column the date notification of completion was received, so those records may be incomplete.
No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the Building Control information obtained. No liability is accepted for loss or damage arising from use of Building Control information obtained from this site, whether foreseeable or otherwise. Similarly, the information contained does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a Building Control decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the users own risk.
